The island of Koločep
Koločep (also called Kalamota by locals) is the smallest of the inhabited Elaphiti islands, with only 2.35 km2 large surface area. The island is car-free and there are only two small villages on the island with less than a couple of hundred inhabitants surrounded by pine trees criss-crossed with vineyards and olive groves. The best way to truly experience the beauty of the enchanting island of Koločep is by private boat.
The Blue Cave tour
The famous Blue Cave on Koločep Island is a hidden natural gem only accessible by swimming. It is definitely worth the jump into the turquoise blue Koločep sea and a short swim inside. We also offer snorkelling equipment for those who want to explore the underwater world full of fish and seashells.
The Three Caves
Numerous hidden coves are scattered around the island and the Three Caves (also known as Three Sisters) of Koločep are the most beautiful ones. The smell of salt from the crystal clear blue sea underneath mixed with the pine aroma from the forest above you is simply fantastic. This is also a great place to use our snorkelling equipment.
The Village of Koločep
The two villages (Gornje Čelo & Donje Čelo) lay peacefully in the largest bays of Koločep islands connected by a 3 kilometres long hiking trail through the pine forest. Along with two small sandy beaches, you will find a number of coffee bars and local restaurants serving Dalmatian prosciutto and cheese and various meat and seafood specialties. Our experienced skipper will take you to the best restaurant in one of the villages depending on your food preferences.
The island of Lopud
Lopud, also known as the “island in the middle” (Insula Media, or Mezzo), is just a short ride from Koločep island, and a bit bigger than Koločep (4.63 km² in size). This Elaphiti island is known not just for the famous sandy beach Šunj, but also for cultural and natural attractions, such as the 15th-century Franciscian Monastery and the gorgeous Đorđić-Mayneri family park founded by the Venetian baron Augusto Mayneri.
Šunj Beach
The beautiful sandy beach of Šunj with crystal clear waters on the Island of Lopud shouldn’t be missed by anyone, which is why we have placed it on our itinerary no matter if you are taking a half day tour or a full day tour with us. The best place to enjoy the beauty of the bay is from the speedboat.
If you are up for a nice summer cocktail, there are several bars and restaurants at the beach, but also a small hippy-like place right above the beach in the deep shade of woods. The reflection from the sand and the sea makes the sun’s rays even stronger at the beach. So if you decide to get some sun tan, don’t forget to apply a lot of sunscreen.
